AI Readiness Assessment for HR & People Teams

Twelve questions that predict whether an AI rollout will stick — across workflows, tools, people, and measurement. Score your team in ten minutes, then book a call and we'll walk through the results with you.

What an AI readiness assessment measures

An AI readiness assessment is a structured look at whether a team has the workflows, skills, tool access, and psychological safety to adopt AI — done before rollout, so the rollout is designed around what it finds. It is Phase 1 of the REZUME™ Framework.
Score each question 0 (no), 1 (partly), or 2 (yes). Add them up at the end.
Workflow readiness
  1. Can you name the three HR workflows that consume the most manual hours each month?
  2. Is each of those workflows documented as it actually runs, not as policy says it should?
  3. Has anyone decided where in those workflows an AI step would sit, and what a good output looks like?
Tool readiness
  1. Do you know which AI tools your organization already licenses (Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini, HRIS features)?
  2. Can every person who needs access get it today, without a two-week ticket?
  3. Are there approved templates, prompts, or guardrails for sensitive HR work — employee data, compensation, performance?
People readiness
  1. Has anyone asked the team how they feel about AI?
  2. Are there one or two natural champions already experimenting who could be given a formal role?
  3. Has leadership said plainly that AI is here to supercharge people, not replace them — and backed it up?
Measurement readiness
  1. Do you have a baseline for time-to-competency, hours per benefits cycle, or response time on employee questions?
  2. Is there a dashboard the HR team owns, or does every metric require a request to another department?
  3. Has the CFO or CHRO named the result that would make this program a success?

Scoring your team

18–24 — Ready to upskill. Foundations are in place; the constraint is time. Start with role-specific workshops (Week 3, Power User).
10–17 — Typical. Fix the workflow and access gaps (questions 1–6) before training anyone. This is exactly what Weeks 1 and 2 of the sprint do.
Under 10 — Pause the rollout. Don't buy or launch anything else yet. Two weeks on questions 1, 4, 7, and 12 will save a quarter of frustration.
